Yap yap yap: A filler episode
Wine tasting with family at Clos du Val, Napa
Today’s episode is a bit of a brain dump. I just came back a Thanksgiving celebration with family in Napa and am trying to balance my full-time job, this podcast, and all the holiday things coming up. I recently hosted a holiday activity at work and I’m now preparing for another holiday activity with friends, while planning a holiday dinner with family and of course, more trips. Sounds hectic, but this month is actually a lot slower compared to the previous months. I’m genuinely looking forward to all the holiday events. I’m not a religious person at all, but there is something very magical about the end of the year. I’m decorating my home, making time for my loved ones, and trying to find time for reflection and setting intentions amidst all the frenzy.
This episode was a little tough to edit. I actually filmed in 3 times because I felt severely unprepared and didn’t have enough time to think about anything - which is very rare for me because I think A LOT about A LOT of things. I started the episode with some initial reflections on the concept of editing one’s life, but I realized I need to sit down to think about this more, because I actually have a lot to say. I’ve been hinting at this for a few episodes now, but this year has been an emotional roller coaster ride for me. Many twists and turns, sudden drops, and unexpected endings. I really want to dive into this topic, but I want to give it the space and the intention it needs. I’m still processing many life lessons from these recent life events, and I’m hoping to find the right moment to share. Overall, it has been a very transformative year, and I’m excited to reflect on what life has taught me this year.
Anyway, in the mean time, I hope you enjoy this little yap session. Sorry if I’m jumping from topic to topic with no transition. I tried my best to edit 3 different videos together because I didn’t want this to be the reason for not uploading this week.
Hope you’re having a cozy week!
