I think it could have explore more of Judit’s feelings toward the training itself, but it does tell the story of her success very well. Community events are usually very purpose-driven, which means it’s easier to meet people who share similar interests. I’ve had success meeting new friends at workshops and events where we were all learning something new or working on our passions. If you’re in a place where you want to expand your social circle, I highly recommend attending events where you are required to interact with other participants beyond small talks. From food and beverage to local makers markets in SF, consumers are now more attracted to small businesses. Pop-ups are also becoming cool social events, so they attract a lot of hip consumers who are willing to pay in order to be seen as one of the firsts to try.
