Remey’s Inspirations 27
Caught Shibu eating my decor!!!
Hi friends!
It’s super warm in SF this weekend . I was walking outside with friends all day on Saturday. I haven’t climbed the steep SF hills in so long, so now my legs are so sore. I also went to yoga early Sat morning so that was a very nice start to my weekend. I think I’m going to add 1-2 yoga classes on the weekend to my workout routine. I’m re-doing my workouts in preparation for Fall (or true SF summer), so my routine is going to change again soon.
I’ve been having an unexpectedly chill summer. I think dealing with a cold for 2 weeks fully put me into rest mode, and at this point, I’m just going to relax until Fall comes around. I’ve learned that if I don’t schedule downtime, my body will force me to lie down. So even though I have a lot of plans for Fall and Winter, I have to keep in mind to take it slow, and to prioritize accordingly.
I don’t have too many inspirations this week. I’ve been busy processing the fact that it’s August already!! Where did the time go?? Where did summer go? I’m lowkey spiraling knowing that the holidays are literally around the corner!
Anyway, today is a very nice sunny day. Not too windy or too warm. I have to get ready for brunch in a bit!

Culture
Icarus (2017)
I’m a huge fan of documentaries, and have spent many years watching all kinds of documentaries. I haven’t came across a documentary that can keep my attention. Many docs recycle the same storytelling recipe, and can be repetitive or predictable.
I recently watched Icarus, which is a documentary on doping in professional cycling, and was blown away by the story. The doping part is just the first layer of the story. If you’re into sports, geopolitics, war criminals, and political scandals - this is the doc for you.

PICCASSO FB21 Foundation Brush
I own a few makeup brushes from Piccasso, which is a Korean beauty tool brand, and I’m pretty impressed by their quality. I actually don’t use too many makeup brushes. I prefer to use products that can be distributed by hands, but I do reach for a few brushes on heavier makeup days. I actually replaced my old Sephora foundation brush with this one from Piccasso, and I love how easy it is to cover all the crevices underneath my eyes and around my nose. It’s also not super dense, so you can build up your foundation gradually. Overall, this is a good investment!
