Remey’s Inspirations 14
Explored some indie bookstores in SF Chinatown. I love finding new artists and currently building up a small collection of their works.
Hi friends!
It’s another cloudy weekend in SF. I think it’s going to rain this upcoming week. It’s not too cold out, so I’m going to force myself to go outside because I already know how this rain is going to make me feel. It’s not fun being a tropical girly on a soul level who lived in sunny Southern California for so many years, to know live in fog city. Ya girl is struggling ok?
There’s been a lot of talk around AI, and these conversations are even louder here in SF. I went to a panel discussion with design leaders at some big tech companies and instead of walking away feeling inspired and hopeful, I ended feeling more conflicted by how AI is expected to be incorporated into our works and out personal lives. Maybe that’s why I’m feeling more down and enraged these days. This might be another existential crisis among other existential crises I’m going through, but still, it’s hard not to feel something when it’s all I see and hear about in my immediate surrounding.
Anyway, here are some inpsos. I’m not feeling very inspired lately, so please forgive me. Will try to find a new perspective hopefully soon.
Thanks for your patience,
Remey

Running Point
I love Mindy Kaling. She has an incredible talent for levity with a touch of camp that we desperately need right now. I’m not a basketball fan, but I literally binged all of Season 1 when this show came out, and I did the same for Season 2. With everything that’s going on in world, I just want to escape into an alternate reality where conflicts are low-stakes and resolutions are achievable and predictable. This show is such a good dopamine rush!
Fashion
ribbon details
I take UV protection very seriously, so I’m always wearing a hat when going outside. I love how this hat from Pom Pêche comes with a ribbon, which is such a simple way to add details to your outfits. It’s also an easy DIY if you don’t want to spend money. You can literally just grab a string, a scarf, or a bandana, and voila, you have a new piece!
Music
Sorry y’all! I literally just wrote about a new artist I found and realized it was/might be AI-generated and I basically crashed out. I’ve been running into a lot of AI-generated music lately, even on Spotify, and I’m legit losing my mind. As someone who works in tech, I feel like I’m being forced to use AI just to make a living, as I can no longer escape it even in my personal life. Anyway, I cannot go on another rant on this because it’s my weekend. I’m going to see the Monet and Venice exhibition at de Young museum and touch some grass.
